Cinnamon Rolls with Cream Cheese Icing

First, I must say that I am so mad at myself for not taking pictures of the BEAUTIFUL blueberry crumb cake I made last week for my grandparents. Just my luck that it comes out perfectly and I didn't get a chance for a photo shoot.

I baked twice this week. This weekend, we hosted a Cartoon Night for our friends. We've done this before and it's always a good time - a good time to revert back to your childhood spent watching Saturday morning cartoons in your jammies, munching on cereal. The concept is that everyone dresses up in their pajamas, we watch cartoons from across the decades (esp. 80s), and enjoy a breakfast spread complete with all the childhood favorites - Sugary cereal, pancakes, eggs and bacon, belgian waffles, pop tarts and a special treat - Cinnamon Rolls with Cream Cheese frosting - yummy!

I went to one of my favorite blogs - Pioneer Woman. I used her Cinnamon Rolls recipe. But swapped out the maple frosting for classic cream cheese frosting. I must admit that I've only baked twice with yeast. The first time was a disaster! I used a popular "Super Easy to Make Bagels" recipe I found online and the bagels were awful! It wasn't the recipes' fault, completely my own. This being said, I was very scared to try out these cinnamon rolls, but they looked delicious and I couldn't give up the chance to make my house a cinnamon-y, sugary wonderland!

....AND it turns out I CAN bake with yeast ::applause::

Here are some photos of my adventure:
